It is my opinion that children learn best when they are in engaged in the subject being taught. Furthermore, when children learn through music, they tend to retain what they have learned. Rock N Learn does a fantastic job of making learning fun.
I have used Rock N Learn applications on my tablet and have a few of their DVDs as well. They have a large range of subjects that appeal to many different age levels. All three of my kids like learning from them. Which is understandable since the company has won over 100 educational rewards over the past 24 years they have been in business.
I was so impressed with Rock N Learn’s products that I contacted them and asked if I could review one. They sent us the Alphabet DVD. It is meant for ages 3 to 5, but both my two year old and five year old love it. Some of the basic foundations of reading are having letter recognition and knowing letter-sound relationships. This DVD does a wonderful job of reinforcing these skills. The music is catchy and not annoying like many educational DVDs. I even find myself singing along. The animation is very kid friendly and my sons were riveted throughout. The musical games are fun and the kids enjoyed the interactive activities. I love that the DVD also has printables for support with printing letters and numbers. The video is 42 minutes long.
Rock N Learn’s products are created by a family that includes a school psychologist, primary school teacher, and a musician. They have been featured in learning and parenting publications and are sold in teacher stores nationally. Many of their titles support the Common Core Standards. You can find out more here.
Rock N Learn can be found on their website, Facebook, and Amazon.
