Due to a plumbing recall, our beloved Captain would need to stay a few days away from home.  He’d stay at his home away from home, A-V.I.P. Pet Resort.  We packed up Captains’ favorite toys and made the drive to his kennel.

A-V.I.P. Pet Resort in Las Vegas, NV

Upon arrival we were greeted by their enthusiastic staff.  He’d only ever stayed there once before, but they seemed to have created a positive memories. Captain happily snuggled right up to them.  He was taken to a large play yard while his belongings were arranged in the spacious 4’X15’ dog run.  They have three sizes, but this one suited our needs.  Once the run is prepared, he’s moved to in to it.  There is a indoor area (where he slept) and an outdoor space for him to stretch his paws.  All cement, so it’s easy for them to keep it nice and clean.   I provided his sleeping bed and toys.  I was never worried about the temperature of the ground, the whole floor is heated (per the website).  The air temperature is always comfy (it’s air conditioned).  It’s a indoor out door set up.  So always fresh air, never stuffy.  I’ve walked through the facility in the heat of the summer, and was very comfortable, enough so that I could have slept there and been fine.  My Captain’s first stay there was in July of this year (2012).

Being that we were in town on this during Captains stay, we obviously came to visit him.  No announcement was needed.  I arrived with my two kids and we all were taken to a very large play yard.  Captain and the kids played till they passed out. I very much appreciated this opportunity for the interaction between the kids and our dog, it made the separation much easier on my son.

A few things I noted when I picked Captain up to go home. Just how comfortable he was.  No signs of stress or discomfort.  All his belonging were ready to go and in great shape (clean, That was a nice bonus).  The whole stay was made very comfortable for both him and us.

The owners live on site, so someone is always there to care for your fuzzies.  And I’ve heard tale that they’ve even cared for a goat once lol, so it seems that most any animal can be accommodated!  During my longer trips, I’ve had them watch my Mini Rex Rabbit.

Now my overall review:

The facility and staff have great vibes!  My dog showed no signs of stress upon arrival or departing.  It was a very comfortable transaction.

The facility is clean, there was no bad odor.  It’s just kept very clean.

The space provided to all their guest was ample and in perfect working order.  I didn’t see any issues or items in disrepair.  It’s a very well maintained facility.

Cost was competitive.  It was a great value for the money.

There was always someone available to ask questions or address any concern I had.  They are fully staffed and ready to serve their guest without delay.

I would happily recommend A-V.I.P. Pet Resort to my family or friends.

I was not compensated for this review, all cost for my pets stay was paid in full by myself.  I’m just that happy with this facility!!!
